Nintendo patents Switch 2 dock that connects to first Switch for charging and video

A Nintendo patent describes a Switch 2 dock that’s cross-gen compatible. Video outputs, USB data modes, and fan speeds would adjust for the first Switch handheld. Outside of Europe, the company has no plans to stop supporting the older console.
