Berliners mourn after deadly terrorist attack at Pride event

“The thoughts we have today are simply: how can anyone attack a festival of tolerance and love like this?” This is what Katrin D said as she attended a vigil at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate a day after a man allegedly drove a vehicle into crowds near the city’s Pride celebrations and began attacking people with a knife. One woman was killed and 29 others were injured in what German officials have described as an Islamist terror attack.
