The Reform UK leader got about 1,000 more votes than he did in the 2024 general election, despite a lower turnout. His closest challenger, Count Binface, an intergalactic space warrior created by the comedian Jon Harvey, who Farage claimed earlier this morning was “the candidate of the establishment”, won 9,455 – a career best.
