Iran says US violations make 60-day negotiation period ‘no longer relevant’

Iran says negotiations with the United States never began because Washington violated a memorandum of understanding that was intended to pave the way for talks on sanctions and Tehran’s nuclear programme. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson says the previously agreed 60-day period for negotiations is no longer relevant, accusing the US of “gross and widespread violations” just weeks after the memorandum was signed.
