Tornado tears through southern France

Eyewitness footage recorded from the village of Verzeille in southern France captured a tornado forming and swirling beneath a violent supercell thunderstorm on Monday. Subscribe ► youtube.com
According to local press, the tornado struck the area around Pomas, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, at about 5pm local time. Authorities reported at least 26 people had been injured and about 2,800 households were without electricity after the storm caused significant damage to homes, some of which were partially destroyed, while trees and vegetation were also heavily affected. #france #tornado #pomas #pyrenees #extremeweather
