At least 150 people are reported dead and thousands remain missing after devastating flash floods in Nepal and China’s Tibet region. International rescue teams have joined the search for survivors in underground tunnels at hydropower projects in Nepal, where hundreds of workers are believed to remain trapped. Specialist teams and equipment from China, India and South Korea are assisting Nepalese crews with search and rescue operations. Forensic experts from China and Singapore are also expected to help identify recovered remains. In China’s Tibet region, rescue teams have reached areas previously cut off by damaged roads and begun using heavy machinery to search for those still unaccounted for. The disaster has also raised concerns about dangerous glacial lakes in the Himalayas and the possibility of further glacial flood events. Nepal’s government says rebuilding affected communities could cost billions of dollars. Subscribe to our channel: bit.ly
