Black-clad vigilantes filmed blocking cars during anti-migrant protest in Dover

“I thought we were caught in some mass robbery or terrorist event,” said Mackenzie, 28, who was held up on his way home from work. He said one of the men was wearing what looked like rubber gloves. Responsibility for the disruption has been claimed by Patriot Platform, an anti-immigration group with links to the far right. Its founder, Daniel Thomas, nicknamed Danny Tommo, is a far-right social media influencer and Tommy Robinson’s former bodyguard. Kent police said they were in attendance and engaging with the unrest, which the Port of Dover described as a “public order incident”.
