Houthis say Saudi Arabia carried out 32 air strikes across Yemen

Yemen's Houthi rebels, officially known as Ansar Allah, say Saudi Arabia has carried out air strikes targeting Houthi positions as fighting intensifies across several fronts. The clashes are taking place in al-Jawf, Marib, al-Bayda, al-Dhale and western Taiz, with both sides battling for territorial gains. The Houthis have advanced in parts of western Taiz and are seeking to capture the Red Sea port city of al-Makha and cut the road linking it to Taiz. The internationally recognised Yemeni government is reinforcing its positions with Saudi military air support in contested areas including Marib and al-Jawf. The World Health Organization says more than 20,000 people have already been displaced, while about 900 have been killed in the latest clashes. The escalation is raising fears of an all-out war and putting further pressure on displacement camps already nearing capacity. Al Jazeera’s Yousef Mawry reports from Sanaa.
