Philippines ferry fire leaves at least five dead and scores missing

Five people were confirmed dead in early counting and more than 80 missing on Thursday after a ferry caught fire ⁠off Palawan island in the western Philippines on Wednesday night, the country's coast guard says. It released footage showing flames engulfing parts of a vessel. The MV June Aster had reportedly departed from Baseco in Manila bound for Coron.
