בעקבות דיווח על הצתת אופנוע, נפתחה חקירה ע"י שוטרי תחנת אום אל פחם, במהלכה אותר חשוד במעשה. מהחקירה התברר כי החשוד ניסה להצית אופנוע ולבסוף הצית את עצמו. הרקע לאירוע הוא סכסוך גירושים Following a report of a motorcycle arson, an investigation was launched by officers from the Umm al-Fahm police station, during which a suspect was located.
