The Archers cast ‘angry’ at BBC decision to scrap new studio, says actor

סיכום מאמר

The Archers cast expressed anger after the BBC announced it would scrap plans for a new studio dedicated to the long‑running radio drama, according to actor Ben Norris. Norris said the decision, presented as a cost‑cutting measure, would disrupt production workflows and affect the show’s quality. The proposed studio was intended to modernise recording facilities and improve working conditions for the cast and crew. Its cancellation has sparked frustration among the team, who view the move as undermining the programme’s future viability. The BBC has not yet provided a detailed explanation of the financial savings expected from the reversal, leaving the cast concerned about the impact on both the programme’s artistic standards and its operational efficiency.
