Trump votes in Florida and heads to Georgia to campaign for Republican candidates

US President Donald Trump voted in Florida's midterm elections and spoke to cameras afterwards. Al Jazeera’s John Holman, reporting live from Miami, Florida, says Trump’s remarks were free-wheeling, and he took questions on a range of issues including the Iran war. Trump sounded hoarse and joked that he's been losing his voice from campaigning. He is heading across the state to stump for candidates, and will be in Georgia later tonight. He has also told supporters to pretend he is on the ballot himself. Holman says Trump has argued candidates do better when he campaigns for them, but Republicans haven't been so sure in these midterms. No Republicans have broken from him, he says, but some seem to be quietly distancing themselves on certain issues. He cites Congresswoman candidate María Elvira Salazar, who said in an ad that Trump has gone too far on immigration and deportations. Al Jazeera’s John Holman reports from Miami, Florida.
