Young people again took to the streets across Europe this weekend – from Albania to Portugal to Italy – in defence of democracy and to protest against a faltering education system, deteriorating public services, declining prospects, unaffordable housing, ongoing conflicts and the spiralling cost of living. Protests have spread through the continent in the past month, starting in Spain with demonstrations over housing, and in France where a student movement drew half a million people to the streets. In some places there have been violent clashes with police and rising tensions. #genz #genzprotests #europe #france #portugal #germany #italy #spain #halloween #belgium #albania
