Qatar is positioning itself as a global innovation hub, with the prime minister announcing an additional $2bn investment in startups alongside a new 10-year residency programme for entrepreneurs, founders and senior executives. Web Summit Qatar has seen participation double to 30,000 attendees, creating a platform where innovators connect with investors, governments engage with startups, and global partnerships are forged. The initiative reflects Qatar's strategic focus on fostering growth in future industries whilst incentivising startups to establish and expand their operations in the country.
