Operations have resumed at Britain’s RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus after an Iranian-made Shahed drone struck a hangar on Sunday, with two drones downed at sea on Monday. About 1,000 people were moved from a village amid gaps in shelters, warning and evacuation plans. Cyprus, an EU but not NATO member, says it will not join hostilities and has requested air defences: four Greek F-16s have arrived, frigates are due, France is sending anti-drone and anti-missile systems and Britain a warship.
