Zimbabwe fuel prices top $2 for first time as Middle East conflict drives hike

Zimbabwe has hiked fuel prices sharply, with diesel now at $2.05 per litre and unleaded petrol at $2.19 for the first time—up from around $1.74 earlier this week. The government blames the conflict in the Middle East for the increase. Citizens expressed shock, warning the rise will trigger a cascade of higher costs for transport, food and goods, creating a "hazard" for daily life.
