Sixty-six people are killed. Through forensic analysis, we reveal how this event unfolded. Tornado Outbreak The US tornado super-outbreak in April 2011 sees 360 twisters, multiple EF5 tornados, flash flooding, hail, and lightning ravage numerous states, including Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, killing 348 people and leaving thousands homeless in one of the most dangerous tornado seasons of all time.
