Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon have killed two paramedics in a direct hit on their headquarters in Bint Jbeil. They aren’t the first. In the past 24 hours, 12 paramedics have been killed, taking the death toll since the start of the conflict to more than 50 medical workers. Lebanon’s government is accusing Israel of violating the rules of war and international human rights law by killing civilians. It plans to file a complaint at the UN Security Council because Israel’s actions are threatening Lebanon’s sovereignty. But few expect anything to change.
