Iran shoots down US plane, search for pilot continues

A US airman is missing after Iran claims to have downed his fighter jet in southwestern Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province. Another US aircraft was reportedly downed near the Strait of Hormuz, but the pilot was rescued. Iranian state TV released footage of the first jet’s wreckage and offered a reward for information leading to the missing crew member. Al Jazeera’s Tohid Asadi reports.
