Pakistani officials have told Al Jazeera they are offering Islamabad as the venue for the next round of US–Iran talks, with the ceasefire continuing to hold and both sides acknowledging that lines of communication remain open. Reporting from Islamabad, Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder said the first round ended without agreement but also without a breakdown in talks, with technical engagement suggesting limited but ongoing progress. Pakistan is playing a mediating role alongside regional actors, including Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Qatar and China. Hyder added there is cautious hope the process could advance before the ceasefire deadline expires. Subscribe to our channel: bit.ly
