Eyewitness video showed large ash clouds billowing from the Mayon volcano on Luzon island in the Philippines over the weekend. Emergency services issued alerts to nearby towns and more than 5,450 fled to emergency shelters. Mayon is the most active volcano in the country and last erupted in 2023.
