"עקצו" ועשקו קשישים עד שימ"ר ירושלים נכנסה לתמונה

11 חברי חוליה נעצרו בחשד שעשקו ועקצו עשרות קשישים ואוכלוסיות מוחלשות בהיקף מצטבר של כמיליון שקלים שוטרי ימ"ר ירושלים החלו בחקירה סמויה לפני מספר חודשים, בעקבות הצטברות תלונות של קשישים תושבי מבשרת ציון. לפי החשד, עבריינים התחזו לנציגי שירות, שידלו את הקשישים למסור פרטים אישיים, השתלטו על הקווים הסלולריים שלהם ובדרך זו עקפו את מנגנוני אבטחה של חברות האשראי וביצעו עשרות עסקאות לרכישת ציוד טכנולוגי יקר ערך ומוצרים נוספים מהם חיו והתכלכלו, תוך ריקון חשבונות הבנק של חלק מהקורבנות. שוטרי היחידה המרכזית פשטו על בתיהם של החשודים בירושלים ובמרכז הארץ. במהלך הפעילות המבצעית, נתפסו ממצאים וראיות הקושרות את החשודים למעשים. כמו כן, החוקרים תפסו וילה בעיר רמת גן בה התגוררו חלק מהחשודים, ובהם החשוד המרכזי. על פי החשד, גם הנכס עצמו הושג במעשה מרמה מול בעלת הבית הקשישה המתגוררת בחו"ל. עד כה אותרו כ-70 קורבנות ברחבי הארץ, כשהיקף המרמה המצטבר נאמד במיליון שקלים. 11 חשודים נעצרו והחקירה נמשכת במשרדי ימ"ר ירושלים. According to the investigation, the suspects impersonated service representatives, tricked the elderly into revealing personal information, and hijacked their mobile phone lines. Using this method, they bypassed credit card security protocols to carry out dozens of high-value purchases of technological equipment and other goods, financing their lifestyle while depleting the victims' bank accounts. Central Unit officers raided the suspects' homes in Jerusalem and central Israel, seizing evidence linking them to the crimes. Investigators also seized a villa in Ramat Gan where several suspects, including the primary suspect, had been living. It is suspected that the property was obtained through a fraudulent scheme targeting the elderly homeowner, who resides abroad. So far, approximately 70 victims have been identified across the country, with the total scope of the fraud estimated at one million NIS. 11 suspects are currently in custody, and the investigation by the Jerusalem Central Unit is ongoing.
