Amnesty calls for war crimes probe into Israel's destruction of south Syrian homes

Israeli forces have intensified incursions and shelling in southern Syria, destroying farmland and civilian homes. Amnesty International has called for war crimes investigations into Israel's destruction of property since the fall of the Assad regime. Israel has seized additional Syrian territory beyond the occupied Golan Heights, in violation of the 1974 disengagement agreement. Residents report frequent raids, detentions of young men, and the use of herbicides on agricultural land, with some farmers unable to access their fields.
