Measuring only around 75 square meters, the building initially appears modest in scale, yet the renovation quickly reveals the extraordinary complexity hidden beneath its deteriorated surfaces. Decades of improvised modifications, aging masonry, shifting timber structures, outdated technical systems, and accumulated repairs transformed the house into a constantly evolving technical challenge where no wall, floor, opening, or structural connection could be trusted without verification. Rather than simply restoring the building cosmetically, the project becomes a complete reconstruction of the house’s internal logic, forcing historical rural construction methods to coexist with contemporary standards of insulation, waterproofing, ventilation, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and spatial comfort.
