Israel expands Lebanon ground operation: Netanyahu says military taking control of strategic areas

Israel is intensifying its military operations in Lebanon despite a US brokered ceasefire agreement. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israeli forces are now operating with “large forces on the ground” and taking control of strategic areas in the south. The renewed bombardment has caused widespread destruction across dozens of towns in southern Lebanon, with reports of heavy damage to homes and infrastructure.
