במסגרת היערכות מבצעית נרחבת של מחוז צפון ומשמר הגבול לקראת ימי חג הקורבן, סוכלו מספר פיגועים פליליים חמורים שהיו אמורים לצאת לפועל בטווח הזמן המידי. באירוע הראשון, בעקבות מידע בדבר כוונת חשודים מהכפר מנדא לבצע חיסול, נפרסו בשטח כוחות של מחוז צפון ומג"ב, וביצעו סגירה על מתחם שבו הסתתר חשוד. עם כניסת הכוחות, החל החשוד בבריחה רגלית, אך נעצר בתום מרדף. בחיפוש שערכו הכוחות במתחם, נחשף מאגר אמל"ח קטלני ומחסן לוגיסטי שלם של חוליית חיסול מקצועית, שכלל שבעה כלי נשק: ארבעה רובי M16, רובה קלצ'ניקוב ושני אקדחי גלוק. בנוסף אותרה כמות תחמושת עצומה, יחד עם כפפות וקסדות. בתוך כך, במקום נתפס רכב מבצעי מסוג טויוטה ראב 4 שנשא לוחיות רישוי משוכפלות, לצד אופנוע שטח חשמלי, שהוכנו במיוחד על מנת לשמש את הרוצחים לביצוע רצח והימלטות מהירה מהזירה. בפעילות נוספת הלילה בכפר מנדא, פשטו שוטרי מחוז צפון ולוחמי מג"ב על מתחם ביתו של עורך דין, בעקבות מידע על התחמשות והתארגנות לאירועים אלימים. עם הגעת הכוחות למתחם, זיהו השוטרים שלושה חשודים בחצר, ובהם עורך הדין, שהחלו בבריחה רגלית עם הגעת הכוח. בתום מרדף רגלי נתפס עורך הדין, ובנתיב בריחתו אותרו שני אקדחי גלוק טעונים במחסניות וכדורי 9 מ"מ שהיו מוכנים לפעולה. #מעצר #נשק #שוטרים #משטרה #משמרהגבול #ביטחון #policeaction #חדשותאחרונות #חדשות ENGLISH As part of a extensive operational readiness deployment by the Northern District and the Border Police ahead of Eid al-Adha, several severe criminal attacks intended for immediate execution were thwarted. In the first incident, following intelligence regarding a hit plot by suspects from Kfar Manda, Northern District and Border Police forces deployed in the area and cordoned off a compound where a suspect was hiding. Upon the forces' entry, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after a chase. During a search of the compound, forces uncovered a lethal weapons cache and an entire logistical warehouse belonging to a professional hit squad. The cache included seven firearms: four M16 rifles, a Kalashnikov rifle, and two Glock pistols. Additionally, a massive amount of ammunition was seized, alongside gloves and helmets. Furthermore, forces seized an operational vehicle—a Toyota RAV4 carrying duplicated license plates—alongside an electric dirt bike, both specifically prepared to facilitate the assassination and a rapid escape from the scene. In another operation overnight in Kfar Manda, Northern District police officers and Border Police fighters raided the residential compound of a lawyer, following intelligence regarding arms acquisition and organization for violent incidents. Upon arriving at the compound, the forces identified three suspects in the yard, including the lawyer, who fled on foot as the force closed in. Following a foot chase, the lawyer was apprehended, and two Glock pistols—loaded with magazines and 9mm rounds ready for action—were recovered along his escape route.
