The DHS facial recognition app allow officers to scan the faces of individuals, cross-referencing them with various databases to try to identify them. Use of the app has inspired backlash on the streets, in courts and on Capitol Hill. Guardian US reporter Sam Levin obtained body cam footage from an Innovation Law Lab lawsuit of ICE officers arresting farm workers in Oregon and using Mobile Fortify to identify them.
