מחבל מנוטרל ע"י שוטרים בשטח

הפיגוע הקטלני במחוז מרכז - בבוקר יום ראשון, התקבל במשטרה דיווח על ירי בתחנת דלק ומסעדת מזון מהיר סמוך לכניסה לכוכב יאיר. עם קבלת הדיווח הכריז מפקד המחוז, ניצב אמיר כהן, על אירוע פח״ע והזניק למקום כוחות גדולים של מחוז מרכז, לוחמי מג”ב וגורמי ביטחון נוספים. מבירור ראשוני עולה כי המחבל, אזרח ישראלי בשנות ה-20 לחייו תושב טייבה, יצא מטייבה ברכבו סמוך לשעה 10:30 והחל במסע ירי במספר זירות. בתוך כך, המחבל פתח בירי לעבר אזרחים בתחנת דלק באזור צור יגאל ופצע שני בני אדם, המשיך בנסיעה לעבר צור יצחק, שם ירה לעבר עמדת השמירה בכניסה ליישוב ופצע אזרח נוסף, ובסמוך אליו ביצע ירי לעבר אזרחית שנפצעה. בהמשך, לכיוון צור נתן, ביצע ירי לעבר רכב - שם נרצח לוחם מילואים ונפצע לוחם נוסף. בהמשך, הגיע המחבל לכניסה ליישוב סלעית, וביצע ירי לעבר עמדת השמירה. רבש”צ היישוב חתר למגע, השיב באש וניהל עם המחבל חילופי ירי, שבעקבותיהם נמלט המחבל מהמקום. במקביל, שוטרי מחוז מרכז ולוחמי מג״ב, ביחד עם כוחות צה״ל וכיתות הכוננות, ביצעו חסימות, סריקות ופעולות מבצעיות נרחבות לאיתור המחבל, בליווי מסוק משטרתי שסרק מהאוויר. בשעה 11:03 זוהה המחבל על ידי שוטרי תחנת טייבה, אשר פתחו במרדף אחריו והביאו לנטרולו וחיסולו בשטח פתוח באזור המחצבות שבין צור נתן לטייבה. כתוצאה ממסע הירי נרצח אזרח ישראלי ונפצעו מספר אזרחים נוספים בדרגות פציעה שונות. במסגרת חקירת הפיגוע נעצרו והובאו לחקירה בני משפחתו של המחבל. בלשי יל״פ שרון ושוטרי תחנת טירה עצרו חשוד נוסף בסיוע למחבל, בסיום החקירה ובהתאם לממצאיה יעלה להארכת מעצר. מפכ״ל המשטרה, ר ניצב דני לוי, הגיע לזירת האירוע ושיבח את תגובתם המהירה של השוטרים, כוחות הביטחון וכיתת הכוננות, אשר חתרו למגע ופעלו בנחישות עד לחיסול המחבל ומניעת פגיעה נוספת באזרחים. ENGLISH The Deadly Terror Attack in the Central District On Sunday morning, police received a report of a shooting at a gas station and a fast-food restaurant near the entrance to Kokhav Ya'ir. Upon receiving the report, Central District Commander, Commander Amir Cohen, declared the incident a terrorist attack and dispatched large forces from the Central District, Border Police units, and additional security personnel to the scene. According to the preliminary investigation, the terrorist, an Israeli citizen in his 20s from Tayibe, left Tayibe in his vehicle at approximately 10:30 a.m. and began a shooting spree across several locations. The terrorist first opened fire at civilians at a gas station in the Tzur Yigal area, injuring two people. He then continued toward Tzur Yitzhak, where he fired at the security post at the entrance to the community, injuring another civilian. Nearby, he also shot and wounded a female civilian. The terrorist then proceeded toward Tzur Natan, where he opened fire at a vehicle, killing an IDF reserve soldier and wounding another reserve soldier. He later arrived at the entrance to the community of Sal'it and fired at the security post. The community’s security coordinator engaged the terrorist, returned fire, and exchanged gunfire with him, causing the terrorist to flee the scene. Meanwhile, Central District police officers and Border Police fighters, together with IDF forces and local emergency response teams, established roadblocks, conducted searches, and carried out extensive operational activities to locate the terrorist, supported by a police helicopter conducting aerial searches. At 11:03 a.m., the terrorist was identified by officers from the Tayibe Police Station, who initiated a pursuit that led to his neutralization and elimination in an open area near the quarry site between Tzur Natan and Tayibe. As a result of the shooting attack, one Israeli citizen was killed and several other civilians sustained injuries of varying severity. As part of the investigation, members of the terrorist’s family were arrested and brought in for questioning. Detectives from the Sharon Major Crimes Unit and officers from the Tira Police Station also arrested an additional suspect on suspicion of assisting the terrorist. Subject to the findings of the investigation, a request to extend the suspect’s detention will be submitted to the court.
