Russian missile strikes hit Kyiv as Ukraine faces sustained attacks

A sustained Russian missile attack has killed civilians and damaged energy and other infrastructure in and around Ukraine's capital Kyiv, as Moscow's attacks continue for more than a week. Ukraine's Air Force says 10 ballistic missiles were launched towards Kyiv, triggering a red alert as residents were warned of the particularly difficult-to-intercept weapons. At least 18 sites were damaged, with fires reported at warehouses, a supermarket, residential areas and energy facilities, including combined heat and power plants, thermal power plants and electrical substations. Two people were killed and five injured in Kyiv, while a 14-year-old boy was killed and three others were injured outside the capital, according to the report.
