UN peacekeeper killed in southern Lebanon as Israeli invasion intensifies

One United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeper has been killed and another critically injured in southern Lebanon. The United Nations peacekeeping force said a projectile exploded near a UN position - they said the origin of the projectile is uncertain and have launched an investigation. Kandice Ardeil is a spokesperson for UNIFIL. She says stronger security measures will need to be put in place to ensure the safety of their peacekeepers, or they will be forced to leave.
