שוטרי מערך שיטור הימי בכנרת נערכים בימים אלו בכוחות מתוגברים, במטרה לשמור על שלום הציבור וביטחונו, ולמנוע אסונות מיותרים גם בתקופת הקיץ בה נרשמת עלייה ניכרת במספר המבקרים בחופי הכנרת ובפעילות הימית באזור. במסגרת ההיערכות, מבצעים השוטרים פעילות אכיפה יזומה, סיורים יומיים לאורך קו החוף ובאזורי רחצה, בדיקות בטיחות לכלי שיט, והגברת נוכחות בשטח. משטרת ישראל קוראת לציבור להקפיד על כללי הזהירות וההתנהגות הנכונה במים: * יש לרחוץ אך ורק בחופים מוכרזים ובשעות פעילות המצילים    *   יש להימנע מלהיכנס למים תחת השפעת אלכוהול    *   חובה לעטות חגורות הצלה בכלי שיט בהתאם להנחיות.    *   הורים נדרשים להשגיח באופן רציף על ילדיהם. * כאשר נכנסים למים, מומלץ לקחת מכשיר טלפון בנרתיק אטום למים כדי שבשעת מצוקה תוכלו להזעיק עזרה. משטרת ישראל מדגישה כי הכנרת, על אף יופיה, עלולה להיות מסוכנת ואירועים רבים מסתיימים באובדן חיי אדם בשל חוסר זהירות או התנהגות חסרת אחריות. המשטרה תמשיך לפעול בנחישות ובאמצעים הנדרשים לשמירה על שלומם וביטחונם של ציבור הנופשים, אך לצד פעילותנו – האחריות בידיים של כולנו. באירוע חירום – חייגו 100, לקבלת מידע חייגו 110. As part of these preparations, officers are conducting proactive enforcement operations, daily patrols along the shoreline and bathing areas, safety inspections for watercraft, and increasing their presence on the ground. The Israel Police calls on the public to adhere to the following safety and conduct guidelines in the water: Bathe only at authorized beaches and during lifeguard operating hours. Avoid entering the water under the influence of alcohol. Life jackets must be worn on watercraft in accordance with regulations. Parents are required to maintain continuous supervision of their children. When entering the water, it is recommended to bring a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch so that you can call for help in case of an emergency. The Israel Police emphasizes that the Sea of Galilee, despite its beauty, can be dangerous, and many incidents end in loss of life due to carelessness or irresponsible behavior.
